Fred Skiff will serve as a member of the Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee in the DOE’s Office of Science. The panel provides advice and recommendations on scientific, technical, and programmatic issues relating to the U.S.’s fusion energy sciences program. Skiff will provide advice and counsel in laser and optical plasma diagnostics, and nonlinear dynamics of plasmas.

Skiff’s voluntary appointment lasts until June 2022.
